This Song Contest #1, often referred to as TSC #1, was the inaugaral edition of the This Song Contest. It was held in Stockholm, Sweden, in the Friends Arena.
26 countries participated in the first edition, all of them being debutants as it was the first edition. An additional 15 countries voted but did not participate. In order to participate, the countries had to be a member of the European Broadcasting Union (with the exception of Australia).
Estonia was crowned as the winner of the edition with the song "Feral Hearts" performed by Kerli. The song gathered a total of 440 points, 131 points ahead the runner-up, Spain. Ireland finished on third place. To finish, Finland, Sweden and Denmark completed the top 6 of the edition.

26 countries took part in the first edition of the This Song Contest. 15 other countries voted but did not take part. Originally, Montenegro and Croatia were stated to take part, but withdrew, so they were replaced by Romania and Portugal.
